about

I wrote this to try to capture what I felt while visiting the spontaneous shrine that the people of Minneapolis put together at the site of Mr. George Floyd's murder- Cup Foods at the corner of 38th St. and Chicago Ave.
The first time I went there I felt a feeling I had only felt in one other place
at the grassy knoll outside of the Peace Museum in Hiroshima
- the site set aside by the Japanese people in memory of the dropping of the atomic bomb.

This is the first version of the piece. I will share iterated versions of the piece as they develop.
